In April 2025, we had the privilege of leading a session at Arizona State University's Barrett The Honors College, one of the most selective honors programs in the United States.
The goal was straightforward: bring AI and the future of work into a room of exceptional students, and make the conversation practical. Not what AI is, but what it means for the careers and organizations they are about to enter.
The session explored what AI fluency looks like in practice, how to identify where AI creates real leverage, and why the leaders who will thrive are those who combine applied AI skills with the human judgment that technology cannot replicate. AI upskilling is not just for today's workforce. It is for the people being shaped right now.
We left the room energized by the curiosity and sharpness in that room. These are the people organizations will depend on.
The future belongs to those who lead by integrating AI with human intelligence.
